Fox Will Launch Electric Cars used LG Batteries in 2011
In the Beijing auto show, Ford officials have said the new Fox will be made in 2012, but you may do not know, the Fox electric cars are also in the works. Recently, foreign media said Fork works together VGP-BPS2,VGP-BPS2A with the the subsidiaries in North America (the CPI) of LG chemical company to develop electric cars, and they plan put into production in 2011.
CPI is a wholly owned subsidiary of LG. The company Always supply batteries for Modern, Kia and other car manufacturers. Now, as Ford’s battery supplier, it is learned, CPI will provide Fox Electric of lithium batteries, battery management systems and related technologies. Foreign media said this set of battery components can make Fox Mileage run 160 km.
In addition, foreign media reported that in the future, Ford’s assembly plant in Michigan will be main product the new Fox and Fox Electric cars. Fox electric cars are expected to enter the North American market in 2011, and then promoted in other regions. Moreover, the hybrid, and plug-in hybrid dynamic models created in the new Fox platform also will be launched in 2012.
